Bluekit stared at the vegetation surrounding them. "Yes, very beautiful," she replied gazing in awe. Her ears pricked as she heard the rivers rushed. Devilstar had placed Bluekit near the banks of the lake. Bluekit stared at the lake and spotted her reflection, she took a few steps back and turned her head facing Devilstar.
"Who is that cat who looks like me in the lake Devilstar?" she asked. Bluekit, at a very young age was quite naive and did not understand much; lack of knowledge.

Devilstar laughed, "That is your reflection. It is a mirrior image of you. Make a face and it copies you."
Devilstar looked at her own reflection and stuck her tongue out, the reflection did the same. "You try." Devilstar smiled.

"Reflection." Gallion said and repeated the word under her breathe. She stepped closer to the flowing river, she lowered her head to the river and held out her tongue and touched the cool fresh water, she began to lick at the water several times. She stopped and scanned the river and saw splashes as the fish jumped into the air and splashed at the river, Bluekit ignored the fishes and tipped her head up to the sky for a while then dropped it. She hovered her paw above the river. "It's following me." replied Bluepaw.

Devilstar chuckled, "Yes, reflections copy what ever you do." Then spotted a clump of mint growing a few tail lengths away. "We really need some mint for Blackmoon's herb store. We're running low. Would you like to stay here or come with me?" Devilstar mewed. The mint clump was only about 14 tail-lengths away, safe enough to let a 5 moon old kits be alone for less then a minute.

Bluepaw stared at Devilstar then glanced back at the rushing calm river then turned her head to face Devilstar. She looked behind Devilstar and spotted mint. She nodded, "I'd be happy to come with you, Devilstar." she replied dipping her head then tipped it up facing the pure black cat; Devilstar.

"Ok." Devilstar smiled and got to her feet. The Black she-cat led the kit through a tangle of bramble bushes, then stopped once they were by the bank of the river.
"Ok. Stay here now, the current is very strong." Devilstar mewed. The Alleyclan leader, began to climb on the stepping stones, trying to be careful not to slip. Devilstar looked back once ro make sure Bluekit was staying where she was. Bluekit was sitting in the looking anxious. Devilstar turned her head around toward the mint clump. Counting the branches on mint, she picked enough to keep belly aches away from moons. Devilstar crammed it into her mouth and turned her head to where Bluekit was. Blukit was still sitting there, still as a statue, her saphire blue eyes glowing. Devilstar retraced her pawsteps and sat down next to the kit. "Want to carry some?" She mewed, setting a small clump down by Bluekit.

Bluekit watched Devilstar recieve the mint in her mouth. I wish I could be like Devilstar. She thought and watched her return and dropping the mint on the ground and asking me if I want to carry some. Bluekit stared at Devilstar and nodded and lowered her head to the mint and picked it up into her mouth. She stood up and waited for Devilstar to return to the camp with Bluekit following behind her.

Devilstar padded through the forest, with Bluekit behind her. The camp began to gradually appear in the distance. Devilstar was glad of that; she was begining to drool from the smell and taste of fresh mint. Devilstar glanced down at Bluekit, then glanced back up at the nearing camp. They walked on.

Bluekit followed behind Devilstar, her eyes widened as she stared at the nature around them, never has she seen the colour purple before, there was a plant called the lavendar. Bluepaw padded towards the plant and pulled one off, she could smell lavendar. She began to follow Devilstar again. She spotted the camp becoming larger as she got closer to it. She stopped and smelt her clan and dashed past Devilstar and began running around the grassy plains and catching butterflies.

Devilstar laughed and watched the kit for a while. She longed to be like a kit again, carefree, curious, free. But Devilstar was also happy for her leadership. Devilstar set down her mint clump she was carrying, and began to stalk through the grasses of the plains.

Bluekit performed one last leap and stood where she was exhausted with her heart pounding. A butterfly landed on her nose, her eylids shot up. Her nose began to twitch, she sniffed at it and her head began to bob up and down slowly and she sneezed shooing the butterfly off her nose and flew away and disappeared over a tree.

Devilstar heard Bluekit sneeze, and lifted her head above the tall grasses. Bluekit was fine. Devilstar dropped into a hunters crouch again, and began to stalk a vole.

Bluekit shook her head rapidly and rubbed her eyes. She spotted Devilstar in a crouching position and she crawled towards the vole silently. She lowered her body into the long grass and watched, her eyes widened, she was amazed.

Devilstar pounced, the small body of the vole went limp in her paws.
"Thank you for giving this creature life." Devilstar mewed, looking up into the sky, then Devilstar picked up the creature and set it down next to the mint clumps.

Bluekit popped her head up above the long grass and padded towards Devilstar. She sniffed at the vole and placed her paws on it and looked up staring at Devilstar. "I really do want to be like you." she told.

Bluekit paused where she was and padded over to Devilstar and stared at her, Bluekit turned her head in the direction of where the sun was beginning to set, she sat down and gazed in awe at the horizon.

Bluekit nodded and leapt onto Devilstar's back and nested near her neck where it was warm and a shallow slump where it was the right size for Bluekit.
